The Nimba Iron Ore Project is expected to become a 10 MTPA iron ore operation in south-east Guinea, helping position the region as a global producer alongside Western Australia and Brazil.
Development Strategy
NDC has now commenced processing operations, with crushing and screening underway to prepare export-ready product. The company is targeting an average ore grade of 64% Fe, in line with its commercial product specifications and customer requirements. The first shipment will represent the company’s first export parcel and the beginning of regular commercial deliveries. Under its phased development plan, NDC is targeting an initial production output of 3–4 million tonnes per annum, with a structured expansion pathway designed to gradually ramp up capacity to 8–10 million tonnes per annum as mining, processing, and logistics infrastructure are further scaled.
Location
The Project is located in south-eastern Guinea, close to the borders of Liberia and Ivory Coast.
