Nimba Development Company (NDC
) is a mining company advancing a major iron ore project in the Nimba region of south-east Guinea, through its subsidiary Société de Développement Nimba-Guinée (SDN-G
).
The project is at an early mining phase targeting annual production of 10 Mtpa for the seaborne global iron ore market. NDC is currently progressing engineering work across the resource, mine and transport infrastructure as it prepares for production.
Our Mission
Alongside mine development, we are building more efficient transport infrastructure, including road and rail options, that will help to improve connections between the Nimba region and the rest of Guinea and with neighbouring Ivory Coast and Liberia.

The NDC management team brings a strong track record in mining and natural resources. We are complementing this with long-term investment in building skills and capabilities among our largely local workplace.

NDC is a UK registered company with an international, mining resources management team and Guinean and international shareholders.
SDN-G is 85% owned by NDC and 15% owned by the Government of Guinea, demonstrating the Government’s support for the project. SDN-G is a Guinean company with the rights to develop iron ore assets adjacent to, but not intruding into, the Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve.
